“I'm 60 years old and my doctor said I needed to increase my protein and fiber intake. So I searched online for a dietician. Most of the people I found online were focused on obesity or pregnancy diets. Cates website made it clear she had a much broader appeal in her focus. I especially liked her heavy science background and continued attachment to the academic side of nutrition. Cate's communication was perfect for me. She's a very busy person as am I and her directions for preparing for the meeting were very detailed and helpful. When I started, I had very little knowledge or experience with nutrition and she patiently described the scientific mechanisms at play when it comes to nutrition, longevity and weight loss. “My session with Cate was terrific! She is gifted in her knowledge of what nutrients I was missing and how to easily incorporate them into my diet. Her style reminds me of one of those brilliant teachers who make an intricate subject fun, interesting and easy to learn. She was able to shift my view ever so slightly so that I was able to see so much more than I had been. I came away with not a strict regimen, another diet to try for a week or two, or mandates for how to eat. Pregnancy nutrition
“I loved that Cate was so informative, but also that everything was able to be so personalized to me and my pregnancy. She actually took the time to compare my prenatal vitamins and the ingredients in them and give me info on what I may be missing and how I can supplement those things. With the doctor I often forget to ask questions and only have an appointment once a month, so it was helpful to have all aspects of my health and nutrition during pregnancy discussed with me and helped me think of questions while going through the thorough information presented by Cate. I also loved that she took the time to discuss my current diet during pregnancy and my lifestyle and gave me ideas based on my own needs and struggles trying to cook while feeling sick and having a toddler running around.
